Learning at home

We are aware that Government advice regarding the Coronavirus is changing often, and we will do our best to help if you are learning at home. We understand that news of the virus can make people feel fearful and worried, and we would like to thank our whole school community (parents and carers, children, staff and everyone else involved in making our school such a warm and supportive place) for remaining calm.

Coronavirus and Free School Meals

Supermarket vouchers

Very soon there will be a national approach to providing support through supermarket and shop vouchers. We will provide further details shortly.

Be aware of scam emails

We have been informed that some parents have received an email stating the following: As schools will be closing, if you're entitled to free school meals, please send your bank details and we'll make sure you're supported.

We can confirm that this is a scam email and is not official. We urge parents that if you receive any emails like this, please do not respond and delete it immediately.

I am proud to be the Headteacher of Carlton Hill Primary School, where ‘heart and rigour’ are at the centre of what we do.  We help our children to develop their self-confidence and encourage them to be kind and to respect one another. We also promote a ‘growth mindset’ amongst children (and adults!) which encourages creativity, risk taking and a thirst for learning.

Our mission statement: “Fair means that everyone gets what they need, not that everyone gets the same” means that we support individuals and families, in many different ways, to thrive at our school. Finally, we are part of a strong Partnership of local schools, BCPfE, which gives us important opportunities to share good practice, training and resources.

Please come and visit our school and award winning grounds in person!

Do you receive 'School Ping'?

At Carlton Hill, we use a system called 'School Ping' to send messages to our Parents and Carers. This works best through the School Ping App which you can download to your mobile, for both Apple iPhones or Android phones. If you are a new parent at Carlton Hill, you should receive information by email explaining this, together with your account login, within a week of your child starting at school. If you have not received this, or you have any problems accessing School Ping, please come and ask at the School Office and we will be happy to help you with this.

Ofsted report

We have recently had a visit from Ofsted. The report has now been published. Please click on the link below to read it.
